How to Love a Duke in Ten Days

Happy Release Day to this tender, perfect, inspiring love story!

Netgalley provided me with an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.

Anything and everything Kerrigan Byrne writes should be on your autobuy list.

Piers found his balance in the uncharted jungles of the world, pitting himself against nature in a battle for survival. He thrived on the elixir of that visceral experience.

Alexandra finds solace and peace of mind in the examination and cataloguing of ancient artifacts. The classifiable order they represent puts her heart at ease, gives her breathing room, and allows her to exercise her sharp intellect.

A man who believes his scars preclude a loving marriage, and a woman tortured by the memories of a violent past, are bound together in a marriage of lust and convenience. She is more comfortable determining the provenance of ancient artifacts than hosting an afternoon tea. He is more comfortable stalking lions than waltzing.

Piers and Alexandra are an unlikely pair drawn together like moths to the flame. The dialogue is fast-paced, whiplash smart and engaging. The character development is robust and believable. The love story at the center of the plot does not feel forced, and is a natural evolution of the trauma and intimacy the couple shares. The level of detail in the intimate scenes was extremely vivid, but always tender rather than tawdry. I’ll freely admit I fell a little in love with Piers.

This book wowed me from start to finish.

5 Hallelujah Stars!!!
